Local Author Releases Second Book

Marsha Neuman

June 22, 2011 -- Avon Lake native and Sheffield Lake resident author Marsha Neuman of AdventureBound Publishing just announced the release her second book in her travelogue series. "Global Grandma It is Better to go Global than Postal" picks up where "In My Head, Of My Heart," the first book in the series of travel journals, leaves off.

Since her earliest travels as a young adult and then as a new mother, Neuman has learned numerous secrets of successful and memorable travel, including governmental policies that protect flyer's rights, the importance of documentation, being informed, and other valuable tips. She shares these tips with her readers so they can apply her years of experience and knowledge of adapting to other cultures to their own adventures and enjoy the best travel experience possible.

In "Global Grandma," the author's travels take her from the emotional site of Ground Zero in New York City, to an indigenous village in the rainforest of Costa Rica. Marsha also tours the breathtaking and mystical Machu Picchu in Peru, treks to the timeless hill tribe villages in Thailand, and to the modern, upbeat Rio de Janerio in Brazil.

Along with her husband, Ross, she travels to the most southern point of the world she has reached in her excursions as of yet - Buenos Aires. Adventures in this book include zipping upside down through the jungle, riding elephants through streams, eating fried bamboo worms and her first encounter with altitude sickness.

Enjoy reading as Neuman takes you along through the predicaments and excitement of her voyages and escapades!

Neuman began her writing career after the tragic events of 9/11 with her first book, "In My Head, Of My Heart," which was published in 2009. Despite the world-changing events, Neuman has not lost her passion for travel and she continues to write about her worldwide adventures and experiences. Even though she has traveled the world, she and her husband, Ross, continue to live along Ohio's North Coast, a place she says "will always be home."

Look for her adventures to reach out to even more distant and exotic destinations in her upcoming book, "Golden." The release of "Golden" has not yet been announced.

Both books are available from the author or ordered from the AdventureBound Publishing
website.

Avon Lake Heritage Festival

An evening book signing  at the Heritage Festival at the Veterans Memorial Park along the shore of Lake Erie in Avon Lake Ohio. The festival was part of the Avon Lake Waterfront Summer Festivals to promote Avon Lake and its locally owned businesses. As an added bonus the sun set over the water and the “Blue Moon” was rising.
