Florida topped the list of return sites but that is no surprise considering the number of snowbirds that visit the state every year.

However other people feel that it is not a vacation if you don’t use your passport. They don’t consider the US Virgins Islands, Puerto Rico or even lesser known parts of our own diverse country. A leading global insites firm found less than 53% of Americans would even consider travel to an “off the beaten tracks destination.”
Another recent study by the University of Vermont found that people are happier the further they travel from home. But I am thinking it is unlikely that people return to Australia or New Zealand year after year for their spring or summer breaks.
So does that mean we travel just to travel, not to make us happy? Ahh H_LL no !
