People express their love and commitment in many different ways. If you remember for our thirty-five anniversary instead of champagne and roses we clung to each other in the confines of a steel shark cage in fifty degree water!
Make your celebration of love a memorable one, after all the only way to remember a box of chocolates is on your hips…a minute on your lips, months on your hips!
Two Valentine’s Day’s really stick out in my memory. One was a trip to Puerto Vallarta. I spent the day horseback riding in the rain through the thick forests of Mexico. Oh and by the way that was after I had slipped and fallen into the horse____ in the corral while attempting to mount the slick wet tack! I was not smelling like a bunch of Valentine's roses!
The trail ride continued to a quaint waterfall…only able to be reached by climbing slick wet rocks and then walking a two inch makeshift balance beam. The narrow board was the beginning of a bridge that was in the works for the safety of riders!
The day ended as my poor wet camera died, never to be used again!
This year my husband and I do not have a trip planned for Valentine’s Day so please let me know your plans. Or where would your special romantic dream trip be? Would it be having a cool glass of French wine at the base of the Eiffel Tower? Or is a refreshing drink on a warm sunny beach more your style? I am sure some people prefer a nice quiet evening at home next to their warm fireplace, whatever it is let us know.
