With the amazing technology we have today cameras are most always included on our mobile devices. Consequently just about everyone is carrying a camera at all times. So my question to you is "when you travel do you carry a traditional separate camera or do you use your mobile?"
As I travel I see people everywhere taking pictures on their mobiles, Ipods and Ipads, so do we really need separate cameras?
When I travel I always carry a separate pocket point and shoot camera, in fact usually when my husband and I travel overseas we have multiple cameras with us. My husband carries a DSL camera plus a pocket point and shoot. We also carry a video camera, and sometimes an underwater camera, I guess you could call us picture people. We like photos.
This does create a problem for me in that my husband thinks he is always needs a new camera. We have more cameras at any one time than some people will have in a lifetime. I am not really sure how many cameras we currently own even now! (The above photo is just some of the cameras we a
In defense of our numerous cameras I believe different cameras are important for different circumstances. We have underwater cameras for scuba diving, we have pocket cameras with optical zoom features for quick pictures and now we have an SLR with a huge zoom for safari. When my husband was practicing with it, someone asked him what TV station he worked for!
The cameras on the mobile devices are improving with each new device but I still think they just cannot capture the quality of photos that the specialized cameras can. That being said I guess we will always have one or more traditional cameras, what about you?
