In you are a sports fan it was Derby Day, the Kentucky Derby. A day also known as the "Run for the Roses" or the "fastest two minutes in sports." It was a day for fancy hats, pretty dresses and mint julips.
If you are of Mexican origin or are only Mexican on Cinco de Mayo is was a day of tortillas, guacamole and margaritas. However it seems Americans celebrate the day more than Mexicans do!
If you are from Southeast Asia particularly Thailand it was just another "Full Moon Party", a monthly event giving a reason for consuming copious amounts of alcohol.
For the "undead" i.e. vampires and weir wolves it was a night of carefree rambling and wandering under the bigger and brighter "Super Moon."
Beyond all of those reasons I also wouldn’t be surprised if there were more than a few people celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and first communions too.
So regardless of which reason you choose for celebration I hope everyone had a wonderful time.
